Caves Byrrh
About a 10 minute walk from La Fauvelle is Thuir’s largest workplace, the Caves Byrrh winery, which is open for guided tours and samplings. Caves Byrrh has the world’s largest oak wine barrel, as well as a railway station designed by Eiffel. In addition to producing internationally renowned brands of fortified wine such as Dubonnet and Cinzano, the local speciality, Byrrh, is also produced here.
